Competition & Enforcement
Competition Framework
- All official scoring, tee times, and standings are managed through Squabbit
- Rankings are calculated using the Concrete Classic Index (CCI)
- Rankings are updated after designated tournament rounds and sanctioned play
- Concrete and Cemented operate under the same Constitution with defined structural differences
- All formats, points, and payouts are predetermined before play begins
Enforcement & Authority
- Competition Committee has full authority over rules, formats, and disputes
- All rulings are final once issued by the Committee
- Disputes must be raised before the next hole is played
- Secretary of Competition executes rankings and oversees side games
- Side games must be approved prior to play and are voluntary
Core Playing Rules
Play It Clean
All strokes count. No mulligans, no breakfast balls. Every shot is played as it lies unless a specific rule allows relief.
Gimme Rule
Putts within a 35-inch putter length are good — but must be measured. No gimmes in scrambles or for birdie or better.
Identify It
Every ball must have a unique identifying mark. If you cannot clearly identify your ball, it cannot be played.
6-Inch Rule
Ball may be rolled and placed within 6 inches, staying in the same condition (no rough to fairway, etc.).
Simplified Relief
All areas are treated as red penalty areas. Out of bounds plays as a lateral drop with a one-stroke penalty — no stroke-and-distance.
Lost Ball Relief
If lost in non-maintained areas, drop from point of entry with one-stroke penalty. You are never punished more for finding your ball.
Condition-Based Play
Bunkers may be played as-is or declared ground under repair. The Competition Committee decides before each round.
Drop Zone
Forward tee acts as a drop zone after the tee shot. No teeing up when using it.
Squabbit Is Law
Scores must be entered after every hole. Once a round is complete, scores are final unless formally corrected.
Format-Specific Rules
Scramble Play
- All players hit every shot
- Ball must stay in same condition (rough stays rough, bunker stays bunker)
- Ball must be played within one club length of the selected shot, no closer to the hole
- No gimme putts — ball must be holed
- All players must hit before next shot is taken
- If someone holes out early, hole is complete
Alternate Shot (Foursomes)
- Partners alternate shots for entire hole
- One player tees off on odd holes, the other on even
- Wrong order = penalty and must correct
